FilmCamp AS aims to be an attractive and preferred resource and production center for film and television production, offering top-tier facilities and services to support national and international projects.
FilmCamp AS is a rental and service provider, as well as a regional resource center for film and television production. Our goal is to attract productions to FilmCamp, stimulating activity in the film and television industry within the region while fostering cultural and business development in related sectors. We are committed to managing our resources sustainably to ensure the long-term success and growth of the company.
FilmCamp's overall resources consist of:
- Infrastructure and studio facilities
- Financing opportunities
- Competence
- Network
- Diverse and versatile locations for various production needs.
Overall, these resources have proven to be a means of attracting national, but not least international film and television productions to the region.
Since its first feature film production in 2006, "The Kautokeino Rebellion", FilmCamp has participated in 68 audiovisual productions (as of 31.12.2024). This has generated significant business and economic turnover in its own company and the region's business community. In addition, FilmCamp's activities have contributed to skills development, jobs and network building. Great opportunities have been created for development and industry building within regional film and TV production.
Vision
FilmCamp AS aims to be an attractive and preferred resource and production center for film and television production, offering top-tier facilities and services to support national and international projects.
FilmCamp works based on the cultural and business strategic interaction between the five areas of activity that form the basis of the business. These sub-areas are defined as FilmCamp's total resources above.
It is this interaction – the sum of all of this – that has produced the positive results and ripple effects that FilmCamp can demonstrate so far.

History
FilmCamp was formally established as a limited liability company in 2005.
A preliminary project (2003-2004) had then highlighted the possibilities – and the prerequisites – for establishing a regional fund and infrastructure company for the production of feature films and TV drama series.
The owners of FilmCamp AS made it possible to establish the company. The closed military camp Holmen camp was considered a particularly suitable starting point for this type of business, the camp could be taken over with a developed infrastructure for most industry-specific purposes. In addition, there was professional expertise ready to develop and run the company.
Since its inception in 2005 and until 2024/2025, FilmCamp has been involved in a total of 68 audiovisual productions. 73 million NOK has been invested and goods and services have been purchased through these productions for nearly 180 million NOK.
8 jobs have been created related to FilmCamp's overall operations.
In addition, there will be a significant increase in skills internally and for the region's film and television workers.
